Gab CEO Andrew Torba provided an update on scaling progress via a series of videos posted to Twitter. The company has secured ten new servers in order to handle the massive influx of new users. Four servers are already online, and Torba’s team is working on getting the remaining six up and running as soon as possible. Torba said that the website should stabilize rapidly once all servers are online.
Gab is seeing about 500,000 new users per day due to the platform-wide censorship taking place on Twitter in addition to Parler being booted from Amazon Web Services. Gab also boasts services such as GabTV, a video sharing alternative to YouTube, and Dissenter Browser.
